Hello!

My name is Sasha Trickey and I am a UVic Student in the Post-Degree Program for Elementary Education.

In 2025, I graduated from UVic with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in History. I loved taking History courses because they helped develop my critical thinking skills and taught me how the past can affect the future. One of my favourite history classes was “Pirates and Piracy” in which I learned all about Blackbeard, Calico Jack, and other famous pirates.

I was born and raised in Vernon, BC. Coming from a small town in the Okanagan, I grew up enjoying the outdoors. On the weekends, you will find me exploring the island. When I am home, my favourite thing to do is go mountain biking with my grandpa! 

I am very excited to begin my journey as a teacher. I look forward to bringing joy and excitement to teaching and to learning.
